The weather has been all over the place here in Florida.  Over the weekend we had cooler temperatures followed by rain.  Before the rain hit on Saturday, Mike and I stopped to snap these photos before heading to the Mall.  I was excited to finally grab some boots to wear!  We only have a small window of time in which we can wear boots here in Florida (unless it’s rain boots).  Most of the year it’s just way too hot and humid.  The weather was just right, and these wedge boots were so comfortable for a day of window shopping.  I chose to dress up the outfit with a lace skirt so that we could go straight to an early dinner without having to run home to change.  What a beautiful and relaxing day.

 Thank you for reading!

    • I do love pencil skirts, I’ve worn a more classic black version here on the blog. They just have a classic elegance about them. I can’t get enough. I’m thrilled you enjoyed the post! Thank you so much for the lovely comments!

I hope you have a beautiful day!

  1. Hi Maria! I am so sorry to hear about LowJack. My dog in the photo is indeed a corgi. I can’t imagine losing her at this point since she is only 2 years old. I have 3 dogs and they are like my children! I wish their lifespans were longer. If you want to see more photos of my corgi you can follow my personal instagram account @themrsburgess since I don’t post her often to my @mishmoshmakeup account.

Also, I’ve dreamed of living in Florida for so long, but after reading your post I think I would miss being able to wear my winter boots 5-6 months out of the year! But I do long to not be freezing constantly! Which part of Florida do you live in? My uncle lives in Bradenton so that is where we go when we visit! We are visiting Orlando in January, though!

    • We were lucky to have had 11 years with LowJack, he was the sweetest little guy. I hug my other two dogs so much more now. My Mini Schnauzer Bailey just turned 10, and I want every single moment to count! I also have a Mini Aussie, Brody is will be 5 soon. They are two fun loving little pups, I could imagine my days without them. I followed both your accounts. I saw a little video of your Corgi. So cute!

Florida is fun, but I’ve never experienced the seasons. Its something that I really crave. Hopefully, I’ll be able to see snow falling someday soon. These are Florida girl problems. Lol! I hope you have fun when you visit Orlando in January. If you need some tips on places to eat or just visit that are off the beat and path just let me know. I grew up in the Central Florida area so I can give you the inside scoop!

      Take care! XOXO, Maria

    • Hi Lena,

Thank you so much! I always appreciate all your kind compliments, They truly make me smile each and every time I read them. I also love your blog, and try to pop over as much as I can!

      Xo, Maria

  2. For some reason I haven’t seen any of your posts for a while. You are still as beautiful as ever, with an impeccable fashion sense. I am sorry you’re having to go through all this medical mess–and pain. I’m praying they find a cure for you!
