Hello lovelies! Today is an exciting post, Urban Decay Naked 2 vs Naked 3 review and swatches. Last week I announced that I would be reviewing all three palettes. I’ve already reviewed Naked 3, but this week I decided I would compare 2 and 3. It’s nice to see the palettes side by side, don’t you think? And, next week I should have the first palette to show you. I’m so excited to see them all together. Aren’t you?
The Naked 2 Palette has 12 taupe hued eye shadows: Foxy (matte cream), Half Baked (gold shimmer), Bootycall (cream shimmer), Chopper (glittery copper), Tease (matte taupe), Snakebite (deep coppery taupe shimmer), Suspect (glittery medium golden taupe), Pistol (grey brown taupe shimmer), Verve (light silvery shimmer), YDK, (glittery bold copper), Busted (dark brown shimmer), blackout (matte black).
Urban Decay never disappoints with its range of colors and quality. Like the 3rd palette, the colors are beautiful and vibrate for neutrals. Each shade was amazing in the palette and on the skin. The texture of each eye shadow was smooth with a great amount of pigment. That means that a little goes a long way with these. No need to load up your make-up brush to get deep rich color. As I stated in my review of the Naked 3 Palette, the lasting power is very good. I have oily skin and needed eye shadow primer to get a crease proof all day wear. Urban Decay’s Primer Potion in Eden did the trick for me.
How does Naked 2 compare to Naked 3? The quality and range of colors in both palettes are comparable. The difference is all in the colors. Naked 3 consists of rose-colored neutrals, where Naked 2 has more cooler taupe hues. I like Naked 3 over 2 simply because I don’t like many of the cooler taupe colors on my light-medium olive complexion. See how it’s personal preference? Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either palette. Each on its own can create so many looks, and together the possibilities are exponential.
I hope you enjoyed today’s review. Which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear everyone’s take on these two Urban Decay palettes.
Have a sparkly day!
