I have tried so many face primers over the past few years. It has been such a growing trend in make-up products. And, while everyone raved about them, I stayed away. Another added step to my morning routine is something I never wanted. Those extra few seconds count when you dislike waking up early as much as I do.  Too Faced Hangover Primer was such a game changer for me.  I’m going to share with you my thoughts on this face primer, and why it is my favorite right now.

What is so great about this one little product?  First of all, I really love the smell.  The product contains coconut water, and you can smell that right away as you pump it out of the container.  I happen to love coconut anything.  So, the smell is just heavenly to me.  My next big rave about this is that it has electrolytes and probiotics.  I was really skeptical at first about those claims.  I had never tried a primer that promised to be moisturizing and nourishing.  I think it definitely delivers on those promises.  After applying it, there is such a refreshing feel it leaves behind.  What is also nice is that it works pretty well with my combination skin.  Usually, primers cause my skin to over produce oil throughout the day.  In the hot humid summers this becomes a make-up disaster.  That is why I’m mindful of each product I layer on my skin.  This primer is also silicone-free.  I find that I don’t like the texture, and overall wear of silicone based primers or products.  The only thing I’ve notice about this product is that it doesn’t really give my make-up much more staying power.  It is average as far as locking down your make-up for a long day of wear.  Just note that a full day for me is probably longer than usual.  So, I have exceptionally high standards when it comes to long wearing claims.  Essentially, this a great product if you’re looking for a primer leaves your skin hydrated and refreshed while smelling of wonderfully light hints of a tropical vacation.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and taking the time to read this review.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

  1. I just started with primers and my sister bought me this one along with 3 other brands!!! Primers for long time! I have a question, how much should you put on? Sometimes I feel like I didn’t put enough on and sometimes I feel it’s too much. Are you supposed to put a very small amount or put it on like a moisturizer?
