Wow!  Is has been so bright (and HOT) in Florida lately!  Well, I’m not going to lie, it has been bright and sunny each morning.  But, by the afternoon, the weather turns upside down into a wet muggy mess.  So, when we can, we soak up the rays.

Over the weekend we did the usual Saturday morning trip to get coffee.  I was dragging a bit this weekend, (even to get coffee!) and getting a little dressed up really brought me some much-needed positive energy.  Wearing a bright pink top, like this one (I’ve been eyeing this pink off the shoulder blouse), paired with white jeans was the perfect mix.  I like to think of it as dressed up casual.  And, the shoes!  I love these shoes, and they are really comfortable for heels.  I had so many compliments on them when we had lunch at Swine & Sons in Winter Park.  I have to tell you that they have amazing sandwiches there.  I had a pimento cheese melt, and a summer salad.  The salad actually matched my outfit, too hilarious!  It had watermelon and cantaloupe deliciously marinated in a mildly sweet dressing.  If you are in the Central Florida area, Winter Park has great local restaurants that won’t disappoint!

I’m already looking forward to the weekend, and our 4th of July party neighborhood block party.  What do you have planned for the 4th?

xo, Maria
