3 of the Best Rose Skin Care Products Ever

These three rose skin care products are a few of my current favorites.  I’m on the second bottle of each one.  That speaks volumes because I don’t buy very many products over and over again.  Searching for the next greatest skin care product keeps me from repeat purchases.  But, these three have been worth a second go around.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray is a heavenly smelling rosewater.  I like to spray all over my face and neck after I’ve washed my face at night.  The aroma is so soft and gentle.  It is a relaxing treat at the end of a long day.  I’ve also used it randomly during the day, when at home.  It soothes dehydrated and rough skin, leaving a dewy glow all over.  I honestly can’t even describe it, you just have to try it!

I started using Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel because I was in search of a toner that was alcohol-free.  I had tried so many toners, and all of them would dry out my skin.  I finally figured out that they all had one thing in common, alcohol.  When I tried this product I was surprised at the pleasant smell of roses and aloe.  I use it only a few times a week when I feel I need a little extra cleansing.  An added bonus to is that some of the ingredients are certified organic, and paraben and phthalate free.

Last, but definitely not least, is the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Moroccan Beauty Oil.  Andalou Naturals is a natural skin care line that I discovered a few years back.  I’ve tried a number of their products, and this one is my favorite so far.  I tried it because of the beauty oil trend.  I’m the first to admit that I didn’t buy into the trend at first.  I didn’t think that putting oil on my face would be a good thing, especially being that I have combination skin.  I don’t use this every day, and I use it very sparingly when I do use it.  The smell is a little strong, it smells like…well, 1000 roses in a little bottle.  Seriously, a tiny bit is all you need.  Just a dab all over the face and body leaves skin soft and glowing.

With the fall and winter months around the corner, the wonderful rosy smell of these three skin care products will keep spring and summer alive in your bathroom.  You can find these products here:  Mario Badescu Facial Spray, Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel, and Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Moroccan Beauty Oil.

LUSH Cosmetics Review of Ayesha Face Mask & Cosmetic Lad Moisturizer

Hello loves! I’m truly excited to share this beauty find with you today. About a month ago I purchased these items at the new LUSH Cosmetics store at our local mall.  This brand had always intrigued me, but I had never tried any of their products until now.  I’ve waited to do this review in order to use these products for a full month.  This way I could give you a better and true review.  After just a few days I was hooked, and, after a month, I’m in love with LUSH.  Both the Ayesha Face Mask and Cosmetic Lad Moisturizer are amazing!  I wandered into the store with no plans on buying anything.  A lovely LUSH consultant approached me, and had me try a variety of things.  Since I was a bit skeptical I only walked out with these three small items.  The next time I’m at the mall I will pick up a few to try.  But, for now, here is my review:

Ayesha Face Mask –  Ayesha is a fresh face mask for tightening and toning the skin.  The mask needs to stay refrigerated because it does not contain any preservatives.  This also reduces the shelf life of the product, but it just gave me motivation to use it regularly so as not to waste any.  With ingredients like organic Kiwi, Lime tree flowers, Elderflower, and Honey this masks leaves skin glowing.  The smell is earthy, and soothing.  My skin felt firm and rejuvenated each time I used it.  Definitely a wonderful relaxing indulgence right before bed.  I do have to say that this is mask is for anti-aging and mature skin.  It could come across as drying if you don’t need skin toning.  For me, after a long day, my skin feels tired and withered.  This just freshened and brightened everything back up.  I used the last of it right before it expired.  I will be back to buy more of this very soon!

Cosmetic Lad Moisturizer –  I have been looking for a moisturizer to fall in love with.  A few years back Philosophy had my heart as far as facial moisturizers were concerned.  But, as the years passed I felt my regular moisturizer did nothing for me.  Since then, I haven’t found a daily go to facial lotion.  I’ve been going back and forth on so many products, I can’t even tell you how many I’ve tried.  Every single time I go to Sephora I walk away with at least four or five to try.  I find a few I like, but don’t buy them because they break the bank.  I was truly weary of Cosmetic Lad.  The LUSH consultant told me that the product was originally packaged as a shaving lotion for men, and it’s now marketed for a facial moisturizer for men.  I kind of cringed a little, and didn’t want to even sample it.  But, I’m grateful that she pulled me out of my comfort zone.  At first I didn’t like the texture and feel on my skin.  I felt how this product could be a shaving lotion.  It’s creamy, and feels like a layer of products stays over the skin.  I walked around the store trying other things.  After a while, I kept rubbing the hand that she sampled the moisturizer on.  It was soft, subtle, not like any other lotion I could compare it too because it wasn’t heavy or greasy.  I took the plunge and bought it.  I use it every day, about two to three times a day.  I really love it.  My skin is combination, and this product gives me the right amount of moisture without turning my face into an oil slick.  If you have very oily skin, this may be too heavy for you.  The lotion has Lavender Honey water, Aloe Vera gel, Almond oil, Marigold petal extract, and Tangerine oil.  Now does that sound manly?  I don’t think so.  And, it in no way smells manly either.  It just smells clean.  Of the three product I bought, this one is my favorite.

Dream Steam – This little steaming tab was so cute and inexpensive I had to pick it up.  It has Tea Tree oil, Rose, and Chamomile Oil.  As directed, I dropped it into a bowl of very hot water and covered myself with a towel to concentrate the steam onto my face.  The scent was so relaxing, and I felt rejuvenated after letting my face absorb all the moisture from the steam.  I felt like I walked out of a spa, my skin was rosy and smooth.  I kept the water and used it as a facial mist.  The instructions said that it could be used up to two days.  I wish it lasted a little longer.  The smell was sweet and alluring.  At under $3, I think I’d definitely try it again.

Not only does LUSH create unique and exciting natural beauty products, but they are also against animal testing and recycle their containers.  If you bring back five empty full size black containers, they will give you a free face mask.  And, since their face masks are just under seven dollars, I consider that a serious deal.  Natural products, against animal testing, eco-conscious, and budget friendly!  What’s not to love?  Once I run low on Cosmetic Lad, I will go repurchase more.  Then, I’ll try a few new things.  I’ve heard great things about their bath bombs.  That might be something I’ll pick up next time.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Leave me comment, I’d love to know if you’ve tried any LUSH products.
