It seems like quite a while since I’ve done a make-up review.  During the holidays I bought and received so many beautiful cosmetics.  And, I was so enthusiastic when sharing all those amazing things with you.  Last week when I was just browsing at Sephora, I stumbled upon this palette.  I know I had seen it before, but this time it caught my attention.  So, I thought, why not give it a chance?

I love nudes eye shadows, and Smashbox’s Full Exposure Palette has no shortage of neutrals.  This set has fourteen different eye shadows, seven shimmery shades and seven matte shades.  After bringing this home, and looking at the color selection closely I was amazed.  I thought, this one palette would take the place of two of my other palettes.  The colors were everything I was looking for, and they came in both shimmer and matte shades.  The colors range from brown to bronze to nude to taupe, for the warm neutral shades.  The cooler shades range from cool taupe to grey to black.  When I swatched each shadow on my arm, I had to really load up the brush to get a good  strong color to show off.  That lead me to use eye shadow primer when I wore a combination of the nudes shades out the next day.  I tested the shimmery shades for a Friday date night.  To tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed at the lasting power of these eye shadows.  By midday my simple day look started to crease.  And, the shimmery shades I used for my date night creased even faster.  I do want to mention that it was rainy and humid all week, but I’ve used other shadows that out performed these.  I’ll continue to give them a chance for another week or so.  If you don’t have oily or combination skin like I do, these may be worth your while.  The price point and color selection are excellent.  You can buy this one palette instead of mixing and matching a few to get what this Smashbox eye shadow palette brings to the table.  I know that Smashbox has also released another new palette, the Double Exposure Palette.  I’m considering buying that one to test out next.
